I'm guessing you'll use a different mic when you sub a dozen stock cars on the home stretch for 3 guys talking... ;)
Have you got some 45 degree throats for the weather?
I've never heard anything do voice better than a 290.

I was thinking one horn on top of the other with a slight overlap at 45 degrees or there abouts to each other so full coverage of the stands could be acheived. With minimal horns needed. ;)
Yeah, going to have to be careful with the announce mic! And I want a compressor in there to keep the average level up without clipping. The horns do sound good. Doing exactly what they were designed to do. :D The system will not be designed to get up over the noise of the cars, you just can't do it. And even if you could, it would hurt!
Looking at some overlap, or maybe just side by side. I.E. 2 rows of 8 cells. I want to get out to the track for testing. Pink noise, an RTA and some voice. Should not be too hard. (I hope).
